Most of the quirks in an old home just add to its charm --
but a small bathroom isn't one of them. The bath in this 1920s
Atlanta home had no shower, and the two doors opening from neighboring
bedrooms slammed into the sink and toilet.
To
keep the 9x12-foot bath looking airy, designer Eric Rothman kept
the shower open to the rest of the room. He designed a 4-inch-high,
extra-wide step that keeps the water inside the open compartment.
